Shortly: anything.
A bit longer: any kind of nature locations.
Of course it is almost impossible in the middle of a big city to find nature locations. If you can, go out to the woods or the countryside, discover the area you have choosen. Find a place where you can hide. If you cannot leave the city, your rituals can be performed indoors too.
You can meditate in the middle of a city park too, but you can get frown looks if you start chanting or dancing. Once I performed a ritual in the middle of a lawn, it was a beautiful place. I was a baby witch then. Unfortunately, the lawn was a frequently visited place by hikers, so I was rounded by hikers when I just started to chant…

If you cannot go out, maybe because you are in quarantine, you can use a simple desk or table too. You can consecrate it in many ways, for example, you can sprinkle it with salted or spring-water, you can smudge it round and rpund, or you can incantate as well. If you need to hide what you believe in, and you cannot set a permanent altar, the best is a wooden crate, which top can be used as the altar table, and you can hide your witchy tools into the crate after finishing your ritual.
I still do not have a permanent altar. I have two reasons why not: once, my home is very small, and I have got a small daughter and cats, who can easily destroy the altar. Twice, after 20 years spent in witchcraft, I still need to hide. I cannot undertake my belief because I do not want to chat about it with people who do not understand it.
First and last: the end sanctifies the means. If you find a stump, you can use it; if you set up a table or a stool, it can be good too. If you cannot set up a permanent altar, that’s alright. Just set up a temporary one.
