This system is created by the Native Americans, but several other traditions later adapted it, so did the new-age witchcraft as well, so now it is common to give the full moons of the year different names. The names were, of course, accompanied by correspondences, making the full moons even more specific. The names of the lunar months mostly reflect current economic (agricultural) events in the year, so they can be a great measure of the passage of time. I personally already feel this is a fairly tight system associated with 21st century living, but nonetheless, the celebration can be colored by applying what is described below.

January: Wolf moon. Because of the great cold, the roar of the wolves could be heard quite a few times. Can be used for: renewal, survival, rebirth.
February: Snow moon. Its name comes from the heavy snowfall at the end of winter. Can be used for initiation, fertility, cleansing.
March: Worm moon. After the frost, the soil dwellers wake up and begin their work. Can be used for: fertility, renewal, creativity.
April: Seed moon. It got its name from the time of the first sowings. Can be used: confidence, self-confidence, growth, moving from planning to action.
May: Flower moon. It is a time of flowering in nature. Can be used for: love, passion, human relationships, sexual magic.
June: Strawberry moon. It got its name from the ripening of the strawberry. Can be used for: marriage, health, healing, home spells.
July: Deer moon. The antlers of deer bucks grow the most during this period. Can be used: success, preparations, harvest preparation, fulfillment.
August: Green corn moon. The corn is still green this month, starting to dry out in September and turn yellowish. Can be used for: harvest, friendship, human relationships, abundance.
September: Harvest moon. Its name reflects the period of the harvest. Can be used: harvest, abundance, success, wealth.
October: Hunter moon. The hunting season begins. Can be used: death, separation, release, termination.
November: Frost moon. The frosts come in. Can be used for: root beating, finishing, transformation, calming.
December: Moon of long nights. Around the winter solstice, our nights are the longest. Can be used for: family spells, home work, inner work, meditation.
