Herbalism

Most of us think that this word means only healing diseases, but herbalism is not only about that.

The word herbalism means “art of plants”. Herbalists are botanizing, they are using plants everyday. Plans can not only cure but they can poison the user too. A good herbalist knows the (mostly not so clear) border between curing and poisoning.

The old herb womens everyday practice contained the “flying unguent” which is a paste made of psychotic herbs. These herbs were able to induce toxication in small dose - the signs of this toxication were hallucinations and other physical symptoms. The recipe of the “flying unguent” was well-kept of course. There are a lot of recipes on the internet but do not attempt them; these are not trustworthy and they are not safe at all.

Other herbs can cause death in very small amount. Do not use these in your craft; use safer herbs which has similar effect instead.
